I am very excited for what we are going to learn in the upcoming weeks. The new projects we are starting with Mrs. Rodriguez are completely new to me. I appreciate the new approaches to learning, getting away from the textbook, and having a hands on experience with what we are learning. I have never used Flipgrid so it will be exciting to get to try it this week. Having a person from across the world talk to us about entrepreneurship sounds amazing.
This has been a very interesting week for Business Technology 9. I got started on blogging and I have worked on digital citizenship. Thanks to this class, I have been introduced to many new sites like Adobe Spark and Weebly. I am excited about the programs i will learn about in Business Technology and I truly feel like i will be able to do a lot more with the abilities i will have. Along with the programs I have learned, I feel like a better digital citizen. I learned a lot about people online and how I should act when I am online. Business Technology has really made me seen the importance of a postive digital footprint and being positive online. With the start of the year being this great, I am excited for whats next.
On February 13, O'Neill students had an assembly with the I Am Stronger Sasktel team. The assembly began with loud music and I Am Stronger shirts, bracelets, and cookies being thrown into the audience. After this chaos, the Sasktel team introduced Sameer Hinduja. Sameer talked to O'Neill about a variety of topics. He talked about cyber bullying and the affects it can have. He also talked about sexting and relationships online. The presentation ended on a positive note with the Sasktel team handing out cookies to all the students.
